MUMBAI, Aug 3 — Actor Arnav Bhasin, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming web series Operation Safed Sagar, revealed that he spent hours watching YouTube videos of fighter pilots to prepare for his military role in the show.

Speaking to IANS during a promotional event in Mumbai’s BKC area alongside co-stars Jimmy Shergill, Siddharth, and Mihir Ahuja, Bhasin described the project as a major turning point in his career.

"I didn't have to be convinced. It's my biggest project yet," Bhasin said. "Anu sir, the director, had directed me in a commercial for Snapdream 10 years ago when I was 16 years old, and he remembered me during auditions. My research was extensive—I watched all the YouTube videos I could find to get into character."

Directed by Anu Menon, the web series is based on the historic 1999 Kargil War operation of the same name. During the conflict, the Indian Air Force joined forces with the Indian Army to flush out Pakistani military forces and infiltrators from high-altitude posts along the Line of Control. The mission marked the first large-scale deployment of airpower in the Jammu and Kashmir region since the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.

Operation Safed Sagar is scheduled to begin streaming on Netflix on August 7.
