MUMBAI, Aug 3— High drama unfolded on the latest episode of the reality show Lock Upp after contestant Harshad Chopda made a surprising admission during a high-stakes task, leaving co-contestant Shivangi Joshi in tears.

During a task designed to determine the season's first finalist, Chopda confessed that he had intentionally thrown a previous challenge to allow Joshi to win. The revelation deeply upset Joshi, who had believed her previous victory was achieved solely on merit, leaving her feeling undermined in the competition.

Overwhelmed by the situation, Joshi stepped away from the task, paving the way for Chopda to secure his spot as the first finalist. She was later seen breaking down inside her cell.

Observing her reaction, Chopda approached fellow inmate Shilpa Shinde and asked her to comfort Joshi. However, Shinde declined the request, advising Chopda to stay calm and suggesting that emotional ups and downs are simply part of the game. Contestant Shreya Kalra was also present during the exchange.

Chopda subsequently attempted to speak directly with Joshi, but she exited the cell and declined to discuss the matter further.

The two actors, who previously co-starred in the popular television series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, have maintained a close alliance throughout the season, sparking frequent speculation among housemates and viewers regarding their relationship inside the house.
