Mumbai, August 11 — Ahead of the release of the Yash-starrer Toxic, actress Rukmini Vasanth has already begun work on her next project.

On Tuesday, Rukmini took to her official Instagram handle and shared a photograph of herself with the clapboard for her forthcoming untitled Mollywood drama, currently titled NP51.

She will share screen space with Malayalam star Nivin Pauly in the film, which is backed by acclaimed filmmaker-producer Martin Prakkat, known for Charlie and Nayattu.

Expressing her excitement for the new cinematic journey, Rukmini wrote: “And so it begins. #NP51. There’s something very special about finding yourself in a place you’ve admired from afar for so long. To now be a small part of it feels like a very special first for me. So grateful for this one.”

Nashid, who was one of the writers of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, is directing NP51. Actress Anupama Parameswaran reacted to the post with an enthusiastic “Yayyyyy” and a fire emoji.

Meanwhile, Rukmini is also awaiting the release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, in which she stars alongside Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi.

The recently released trailer has heightened anticipation for the already hyped drama. It offers a glimpse into the complex relationship between Raya and his son Ticket (both roles played by Yash), set against a web of relationships and rivalries.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas and jointly produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is finally scheduled for theatrical release on 26 August after several postponements.

Rukmini’s promising lineup further includes Dragon opposite Jr NTR. The action thriller is being directed by Prashanth Neel.

The commencement of NP51 marks another significant step for the actress as she expands her presence in Malayalam cinema while balancing high-profile projects across languages.
