The program, running from June 29 to July 10, 2026, has brought together 19 healthcare professionals from nine countries — Belarus, Bhutan, Fiji, Kenya, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, and Tanzania. This diverse gathering aims to build leadership capabilities, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote collaborative efforts to strengthen health systems across borders.
The inaugural session was presided over by Dr. P. R. Sodani, President of IIHMR University. Addressing the participants, Dr. Sodani emphasized the importance of global solidarity in addressing health challenges. He stated, “Healthcare challenges today transcend national boundaries, making global collaboration and visionary leadership more important than ever. The programme serves as an international platform for participants to learn from India's healthcare management practices while sharing experiences from their respective countries. This initiative reflects India's growing role in fostering global partnerships for strengthening health systems and advancing sustainable healthcare outcomes.”
His insightful remarks highlighted how interconnected the world has become in terms of public health, especially in the post-pandemic era where cross-border learning has become essential.
Over the two weeks, participants will undergo comprehensive multidisciplinary training covering critical areas such as health systems management, health economics and financing, logistics and supply chain management, pharmaceutical business environment, healthcare analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, deep learning, implementation science, brand building, pharmaceutical marketing, medical device promotion, data visualization, R for Analytics, development studies, and insights into the Indian and global economy.
This holistic curriculum is designed to equip healthcare leaders with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to address contemporary challenges in their respective nations.
