Kohli's birthday is now an annual event on social media, and his 38th on November 5 was no different. Wishes came in from across sport and entertainment. Two posts got particular attention: Angad Bedi's warm tribute, and Juhi Babbar's joke that spoke for many Kolkata Knight Riders fans.
He added a line about Kohli's legacy: "Whenever there will be a mention of the legends of the game.. your name will be right up there!!"
A friendship between two couples
The carousel Angad posted showed that his friendship with Kohli goes beyond admiration from the stands. The pictures showed Angad and his wife, Neha Dhupia, posing with Virat and Anushka Sharma, who wore matching blue.
One photo got the most attention from fans. It shows Anushka laughing heartily with Virat, a relaxed moment from a couple who rarely let the public see their private life. Because Virat and Anushka keep such a low profile, unplanned photos shared by close friends tend to reach far more people than their own posts.
Juhi Babbar's KKR request
Juhi Babbar's wish mixed praise with cricket rivalry. "Happpyyy Birthdayyy @imVkohli So much passion, so much discipline, and that incredible hunger to keep raising the bar every single time. On the aside Virat, its ok to play a little less, when your playing against KKR ..!!! Wishing you lots of happiness, good health and many more unforgettable moments on and off the field…!! Jay, Juhi, Jahnavi and Arjun," she wrote.
Her joke works because of how often Kohli has hurt opposing teams in the IPL. KKR supporters have seen this many times, and Juhi's request to go easy is half joke and half real complaint.
Why the wishes matter
Bollywood stars have long celebrated cricketers, but Kohli is a special case. Through his marriage to Anushka, he is part of the film world's social circle. When actors post about him, it reads less like a celebrity praising an athlete and more like friends celebrating one of their own.
The two posts also captured how most fans see Kohli at 38. Some, like Angad, focus on his legacy. Others, like Juhi, joke about the damage he does to their team. Both views come from the same thing: his records and his competitiveness are hard to match.
