Mumbai, March 19, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to promoting linguistic inclusivity and women empowerment, Union Bank of India recently organized a one-day “Women Special Hindi Workshop” at its Central Office in Mumbai. The initiative was held in connection with the celebrations of International Women’s Day and aimed at encouraging the use of Hindi in banking operations while recognizing the contributions of women professionals.
The workshop was presided over by Asheesh Pandey, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, in the presence of Nitesh Ranjan. The event witnessed active participation from women executives across departments, highlighting the organization’s focus on inclusive growth and leadership development.
Adding significance to the occasion, Harish Singh Chauhan attended as the Chief Guest. Representing the Government of India’s Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official Language, Regional Implementation Office, Navi Mumbai, he emphasized the importance of adopting Hindi in official communication to enhance accessibility and efficiency.
