NEW DELHI — Graduating students and top honorees at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s relatable and engaging address following the institute’s annual convocation ceremony on Saturday, August 8. Attending as the Chief Guest, PM Modi conferred degrees and urged graduates to channel their technical training into national development.
The convocation ceremony saw the conferral of degrees upon more than 3,000 students, including 587 PhD scholars. In his main address, the Prime Minister emphasized that young engineers carry both individual ambitions and broader national aspirations as India expands its technological infrastructure and innovation ecosystem.
