Abdominal Cancer Day to be Observed Simultaneously Across Multiple Cities Worldwide

The programme will be held at Hotel Holiday Inn, C-Scheme, Jaipur, and will witness participation from some of the country’s leading gastroenterologists, oncologists, and medical experts. The official poster of the event was launched by Medical and Health Minister of Rajasthan Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar and Water Resources Minister of Rajasthan Shri Suresh Rawat.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sundeep Jain, Founder of the Abdominal Cancer Trust and Abdominal Cancer Day, said: “A large number of abdominal cancer cases can be prevented through timely screening and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle. Through ‘Abdominal Cancer Day’, our endeavour is not only to encourage knowledge exchange among medical experts, but also to raise awareness among the general public that early detection remains the most effective key to prevention.”

The central theme of the programme is “Preventive GI Oncology”, under which extensive discussions will be held on the prevention, screening, and early diagnosis of various abdominal cancers, including colon, gastric, liver, pancreatic, and gallbladder cancers.

The scientific sessions during the event will cover several critical topics such as early screening for colorectal cancer through colonoscopy, prevention strategies for gallbladder cancer, prevention of alcohol-related liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and the role of AI-based endoscopy in early cancer detection.

Along with Dr. Sundeep Jain and Dr SS Sharma, several senior oncology experts will share their insights during the event, while the scientific sessions and panel discussions will be moderated by experienced medical professionals from across the country.

Abdominal Cancer Day 2026 will not only serve as a platform for knowledge sharing among medical experts, but will also emerge as an important initiative in strengthening cancer prevention awareness and encouraging proactive healthcare practices within society.
